Our Ligthening System

Many traditional powder lighteners release airborne particles during mixing, creating a messy and uncomfortable salon environment. Our dust-free technology helps minimize airborne dispersion during preparation for a cleaner, more refined and more comfortable professional application experience.

Lightening removes both natural pigment and essential moisture from the hair fibre, often leaving the hair feeling stressed after processing. Our conditioning complex helps support lubrication and moisture retention throughout the service to improve manageability, softness and cosmetic feel.

Traditional lighteners can swell unevenly during processing, causing inconsistent lift and patchy blonding results. LINEAGE is formulated with a stabilized creamy oxidation system that helps maintain more even saturation and controlled oxygen release throughout the lightening process for cleaner, more predictable lift.

High pH lightening systems can leave the cuticle excessively raised, resulting in roughness, dryness and a porous feel after rinsing. LINEAGE combines conditioning agents and an acidic support system designed to help smooth the cuticle surface for hair that feels softer, shinier and more conditioned after the service.

Unstable developer systems can create inconsistent oxidation rates that affect lift, tone and processing reliability. The LINEAGE Cream Developer uses a stabilized peroxide system engineered to deliver controlled oxidation performance for more predictable cosmetic results and refined tonal clarity.

During lightening, persulfates and oxidation can weaken structural bonds within the hair fibre, increasing fragility and loss of elasticity. PlexProtect™ Technology is designed to help reinforce and support the hair structure during processing by helping maintain the integrity of the fibre while lightening takes place.

Our Powder Decolorizer is specially formulated for cool, neutral tones, thanks to its innovative pigment blend that delivers up to 9 levels of lift. Infused with PLEX (Polyamino Sugar Condensate) and keratin, it strengthens and restructures hair while preserving brightness and integrity throughout the lightening process. Fast-acting and anti-yellow, it ensures predictable, vibrant results with every application. Plus, it’s gentle on hair and scalp—paraben-free, gluten-free, silicone-free, and non-volatile, making it the professional choice for safe, high-impact lightening.

Our colour is also a hybrid and can be mixed 4 ways and backed by 150 years of colour manufacturing expertise. 

Our Powder Decolorizer and Cream Developer will be launched in South Africa in July 2026, and our professional colour will be launched in March 2027.

Yes! Ahead of the official launch, we will be pre-selling our Cream Developer and Powder Decolorizer in July 2026, giving stylists early access to two essential, high-performance products from the Lineáge range.

In August 2026, Lineáge will host an interactive online launch event where stylists across South Africa can experience the Lineáge colour system firsthand, learn advanced techniques, and connect with fellow professionals. The event will include live education, product demonstrations, technique sessions, interactive Q&As, digital certification, and exclusive launch content designed to help salons elevate their blonding and colour services.
